AudioEase has released a long anticipated update to Altiverb. For those not familar, Altiverb 7 is the industry standard in convolution reverb processing.

Altiverb 7 adds some amazing features:

• Interactive EQ Curve: To operate the equalizers you can still use the familiar turning knobs. But Altiverb 7 adds an interactive equalizer curve that allows you to set al four bands including the widths of the parametric ones.
• One-knob brightness:This is not an EQ.  It is analgorithmic synthetic reverb layer that is tightly tailored to the impulse response provides a type of brightness that an EQ could never boost from a real world room.
• Chaos: Dial in a bit of chaotic modulation and not every hit will sound identical in the reverb. As a bonus tonal material will be dispersed which means that slightly out of tune notes will be covered up in the reverb tail.
• Keyword Searching of Impulses: This is great for OCD impulse hoarders like myself. Search your vast collection for the perfect impulses.
• Search Similar impulses from within the plug-in
• Get the newest impulses from AudioEase, from inside the plug-in.

The best feature IMHO is that you can drag and drop wavs that you record and instantly treat them as impulses.  Now you have no excuse for forgetting to record the impulses while you were on the gig.
